Carolyn Carlson has been a communications and data consultant for fifteen years. She has specialized in government affairs for the past two decades with an expertise with consumer, business, and voter file data and demographics. She has a diverse range of data, mining, analytics, and online communications expertise.
As president of Data-Clear, Ms. Carlson has strategically partnered with key companies, including joint venturing with a cybersecurity firm with expertise in FedRAMP readiness, as well as with NADA SEWP (Systems Enterprise Wide Procurement) partners to further government solutions, provide financial stability, and expand portfolios.
Data-Clear is a women-owned small business and 8(a) certified through 2027. Through her leadership, Data-Clear offers unique services and custom-tailored differentiator products that no or few other firms can service. Data-Clear has recently delivered a reputable data set to a government agency as a subcontractor to a GSA prime contractor. Data-Clear’s team partners believe in dedicated work ethic, listening to clients’ concerns, attention to detail, and identifying proper solutions to achieve and surpass results and expectations.
Recently, Ms. Carlson was able to resolve several client challenges seeking nationwide hard-to-find consumer and voter file datasets. She previously served as a PAC (Political Action Committee) Director for three major corporations: EDS Corporation, Abbott Laboratories, and National Automobile Dealers Association. Carolyn’s diverse talent allowed her to pivot from corporate to trade association membership fundraising whereby the policies are same but the technique and tactics are each strategic using critical thinking skills. Carolyn worked in the business communications department for the federal defense contractor CACI, and served as Senior Account Executive with Advocacy Data in Washington, DC, as an approved vendor for fifteen official congressional offices on bulk communications.
Ms. Carlson is active in Arlington community affairs. She served as PTA President of Kenmore Middle School from 2010-12, 2011 Arlington Public School Honored Citizen, 2012-15 Arlington Fair Board, and Women in Government Relations (WGR) 1999 Distinguished Member.
